Strawberetta Cheesecake
We're having another draft round, but I decided not to join the draft this time. Instead I packed with Yami and co. again (Playt0i, Cents, Templeman). After a long discussion about theme, we decided to go with guns and flavors/deserts, which was a pretty good theme. We were joined by Vovin and mdk who randomed, along with a couple of duos; Winterr and FullGarous, as well as the dark bros (Dark Tower / Karpatheo + Dark Monument). The rest of the realm never bothered to communicate through discord or council so fuck 'em. At first the realm looked pretty grim since nobody really talked in the realm chat, but Karpatheo was pretty helpful with ops request while mdk also got pretty active until... well, we'll get to that.
I picked Dark Elf this round for a change of pace after going fast in two successive rounds. It also seemed like a safe choice just in case people are going to be war happy, which pretty likely in a round like this. Yami did the sim and made me oop at... 715 acres?! Not really fancying the odd numbers but it is what it is. Not like I can come up with a better one anyways. I made a delayed hit on a bot, and could have hit JC (Bald Eagle #1) for my second wave, but found a bigger target which happened to be his realmie.
Yami (Peanut Butter and Benelli), who went attacking with goblin got suicided early on by a sui account specialist, famously known as "Dumb" from a few rounds back. The ridiculously high amount of fast attackers made it pretty hard to keep track of op, so I guess it's down to bad luck. Ah hell, who am I kidding, this is OD, so it must be collusion!
Playt0i (Desert Eagle) had a decent run with his FW until people started to push sui op, starting with Adolf Hitmerf #9 (Dan), whose dom name caused a bit of debate because what is the internet without some silliness. Adolf eventually abandoned, but he was able to put his lizards, Alizander (BB), and Francis (Mac) in a good position for a while, until both of them hilariously bounced together within a short time.
Around mid round, mdk (bored) started to get into a good position with his nomad, and at some point he's looking like a contender along with Semper #5 (Swamp Fox), Shut the F- #6 (Rio), and Apollo #3 (Almezzo), although the last name decided to do who knows what. As things are looking good for mdk, however, his stress level also went off the chart. He risked a hit on Swamp Fox and ended up getting hit by Rio, which made him want to abandon, although he decided to continue after getting some sleep. Unfortunately, mdk bounced on Saccora (Liefanthrope #9) not too long after, and this time he abandoned for real.
Round got pretty boring for me towards the end as I found myself unable to really grow, partly due to my lack of planning from the start as well as other mistakes. I managed to reach 5k, but I had to bf a couple of times for it. Just another round that could have been better.
As a side note, on both occasions that I packed with Yami and co, there were huge Spirit winners each time, Ivetza in r30 (11k), and now Rio with 13k. Clearly collusion!
