Captain's analysis: Crazy Elf

Crazy Elf - top 3 captain. Could be better, but could be wurst!

• Wurst - Easy choice. I had the option to select my draft position first, with swamp fox selecting second. I knew that swamp fox would choose the first pick and select wurstmeyer if I did not, so it was a pretty easy decision for me to take the first pick. To me, wurst is not only a friend and person I like playing dominion with the most, but he is also the best player in my book.

• Ivetza - Wanted to take the best available FA players rounds 2 and 3 since that is the most rare attribute in the draft, and I was shocked when Ivetza and Allegorical both fell to me. I've only played once with Ivetza when I randomed, and we all know what he can do.

• Allegorical -I'd never played with Allegorical, but he comes very highly recommended. I think with wurst/Ivetza/Allegorical we have an early three-headed monster for attacking, and I love it!

• Cerbrus87 - Cerb can do anything and do it well. This pick was a no-brainer for me and wurst both, and also works with our timezones a bit so I got exactly the player I wanted here.

• AgFx - I've never played with AgFx but have heard only positive things about him. Wurst also wanted AgFx at this spot. Plus, this pick will likely help with ops on the Europe side, and is perfect timezone along with Ivetza/wurstmeyer, while Cerb, Allegorical, and I are North America-based.

• Scruffier - I don't know this player but both wurstmeyer and I had heard good things, and I'd heard that Scruffier may be going fairly early so I was surprised to see him fall to me here. Not having another pick for quite a long time, I pulled the trigger and immediately had people asking me about trading for Scruffier, so I think it was a good pick haha!

• Jaerock - I don't know Jaerock but my understanding is that he played in Classic and knows what he is doing, and his numbers also made him the clear pick at this spot, so this felt like an easy choice.

• jmerc - Jmerc is super active until he isn't haha, always happy to help and participate in war, etc, can run sui FA or ops and always be a good team player, and just an overall good guy that is a positive member for any realm.

• SlyD - I don't think I've ever played with SlyD which is always a plus in the draft, and wurst had landed with him before and had positive things to say. I occasionally see his comments in dom-chat, and I fully believe that SlyD knows what he is doing and will be a solid addition to the team, so I was very happy with this pick!
