My notes from Round 28 are a little fuzzy and the start and end of the round, but here they are!

We landed with Rush and Thor's pack which was very exciting since they are known for black ops and we've never had that kind of support.

The round started off awful for me. I came out on 760a planning on hitting 6 hours after OOP. There was only a single bot in my range and it was a landmine with 3800 defense vs my 3600. I ended up BFing a bot 1 acre out of my range with 2700 DP. FAIL! Being six hours behind wasn't a great idea either. Slow to train doms that I could catch just didn't materialize.

Merf came out on 710 and Bobbo on 740 and had a much better time of it. I was on vacation the first few days so my activity was low and I was training my DP three to six hours early to be extra careful. Bobbo was going really fast out of the gate while Merf was keeping pace with me :rofl:

Early Round

The first threat we identified was 7 nomad after 10 and 11 got a little banged up. They also had a converting kobold that we knew would be a huge problem. We determined that the kobbo had almost no spies so we decided to snare him down as long as we could as soon as blops opened while our guys were all still in 75% of top threats. We got him down for a while and even had extra to sink the nomad. They both ended up making hits anyway though. Once their resilience got to about 700, we weren't doing much damage and the guys switched to fireball instead. They all had like 4% towers when we declared so they had to explore for more during the first days. It seemed like the kobbo passed on a few safe hits to train OP against us and he completely stalled out and we just defended his 5:4. We were able to make hits on a couple of underdefended Shadow League guys thanks to our crew's ratios, then canceled ASAP to avoid the nomad who dumped specs that arrived too late (the same hour).

Next we planned to take down a wonder with cyclones. GreenMan had about 37k damage done on Day 7, so we knew one of them was softened up. Merf and I were actually close to hitting GreenMan (another guy with huge ratios) so we started dumping specs before bed. In the morning, we were both able to break him by about 100 each on full sends while Bobbo covered us for a few hours. Bobbo made a huge hit on King of Castle then the rest of the game quickly found good targets as well.

Halls of Knowledge spawned so now we are considering taking that with wiz power while simultaneously sinking 4 nomad with spy power. We warred and sunk 4 nomad, causing him to bottomfeed on a bot. We were looking at Bobbo's previous target for a follow-up and noticed 450k plat so revved and caught him Ares-less 11 minutes later. Poe got hit 0.25a in range of 7 :(

After a bunch of cyclones and two 17k sends from Merf's mermen, HoK is ours. Bobbo is now 15k+ more OP than the next guy. We spotted a top 5 FW with 5000 drafts (Batista 1900a). Got the guys to all assassinate him and Bobbo smashed him for 116a. Merf and I hit two guys in bottom of our range who sent light. Bobbo lined up a hit for his return.

Bobbo made the hit, then a few hours later I got a message that Rey Mysterio added specs and could sui Bobbo. He almost ended up short but realm 6 helped assassinate and they got him. We doubled him the following hour after assassinating Baby beaver so he couldn't drop scavs. Then beaver was clear to assassinate and hit Rey too with his zero spies at home. Beaver dumped 980 scavs anyway with the drafts he had, but would be about 2k short on Bobbo. Then he BOUNCED on Rey having needlessly left a few werewolves at home.

Meanwhile #4 has nearly destroyed the HoK while the boys fireball their wood elf.

Day 11/47, hour 17

Realm #4 captured the HoK, but by our calcs we should be able to take it back before the war expires in another 48 hours. Merf made a hit with the specs he dropped for Rey, then sent on the wonder. It's at 200k and I'm looking for a target. #10 looks to be hitting the school of war for Rey, who built up to 530+ barracks.

Day 12/47, hour 4

Realm #10 got the school of war, #15 took great oracle, less than 100k left on HoK. Found like 6 guys who were only defended against me by 1-2k, nothing hittable. Frustration.

Day 12/47, hour 18

Fell asleep last night and immediately starting getting pinged for an easy target (Alekthar). I slept about 4 hours and woke up 15 mins after Bobbo had sent. My guy was still there but I wanted to wait until end of hour. I realized Beaver could probably hit him about 12 seconds before he did. Went back to sleep and then took tons and tons of ops in the morning. Toothy eventually found me a 86% guy without Ares, so I ended up sending mid-hour anyway, but it was much bigger hit than the other guy. Merf finished off the wonder and we canceled, HoK on 450k.

Day 13/47, hour 4

Just warred #12 to wreck their woodies. Fireballing rex first. Snaring the gnome but he got his spell on.

Day 14/47, hour 1

We snared the gnome all day but he defended Bobbo with 700 specs. We are going to snare Negus instead, but Bobbo breaks him either way. I bottom fed to protect boats because 12 was hitting me really hard. Realized Iron Man dumped huge specs last night and could suicide me. Expected it last hour but he sent on Alekthar.

Day 15/47, hour 2

Snare hit on Negus was successful. We attempted to do it again on Rex, but he recast a few minutes before everyone was online. Tried it on the gnome instead but his resil was too high.

Day 16/47, hour 3

I started dumping specs this morning expecting to find an easy hit on one of three guys in my range who never catch my wiz and are on a 12 hour Ares cycle. Merf made a hit and asked me to stay home until he was safe. Then Bobbo was able to hit Batista again somehow, I don't think he even did any kind of dump. I realized Negus was inactive with 5k drafts so I hit him (with war) just as Merf's troops came in. Bobbo thinks he can catch 12 once more before we cancel.

Day 16/47, hour 13

Just woke up and the team had discovered that Squee, the second largest dom was about to starve. For two hours they stalked him and assassinated until Bobbo got him. To add insult to injury, his FG came off the following hour and we robbed him for about 8 minutes until he came online. 2022-03-14 11:08:13 Victorious on the battlefield, Calvin Candie (#5) conquered 188 land from Squee (#1). #9 gobbo sent with only about 1500 buffer against me, so bot DP seems spot on. Iron Man bonused into range and sui'd Bobbo. 2022-03-14 12:34:43 Iron Man (#3) invaded fellow dominion Calvin Candie (#5) and captured 249 land. Rey must have seen it coming, because he had dropped slingers the previous hour. So looks like Bobbo will eat two suicides. Merf wasn't waking up but eventually got a hit in on Iron Man.

Day 17/47, hour 15

Rey built his land, so we figured he decided not to sui. I lined up a hit on Six Rounds after Bobbo returns. He had surreal up, so I went a little early and assumed invest with no new ops. Rey could sui me for one tick before inc, but didn't (wouldn't have made sense). We have been plotting to war #9 Icer, the biggest converter, but couldn't get everyone online last night. Checked him this morning and RG was active and wiz incoming, so we had to organize quickly. Just declared war and took him from 40k to 17k peasants. Ouch. Sinking the goblin.

Day 18/47, hour 15

Bobbo bonused out of Rey's range with plans to make a hit if he stayed out. Rey sent at day change and Bobbo was able to all in Baby beaver. Unfortunately though, Rey ended up out of range of Bobbo but in range of a bot and made a 2nd hit on his return, so Bobbo is not yet free to 5:4 at will.

Day 19/47, hour 8

Merf saw a few guys I could hit with specs earlier so I dropped 3hrs scavs. Try to get land in before Rey gets his huge pop rolling from rax tech and back to back hits. #6 Ayu Alliance WE was biggest but also Sauron, Winnie the Pooh, Iron Man. Then Tossed Salad came into range. Rey stopped building his land and trained staffies, so I decided not to go for full send on WE in case he wanted to trade with us. Tossed Salad was most threatening later in the round even though we wanted a little revenge on Iron Man.

Day 20/47, hour 9

Turntables sent today and we were able to assassinate some draftees for me to break sending everything. Rey could sui me for several hours but did not. Bobbo dumped to line up with my return and ended up hitting ninja kitty over Harry or walking on the sun. Ended up being ninja kitty.

Day 22/47, hour 11

We declared war on realm 1 to nuke their WE yesterday morning. I was gearing up to hit iron man who came back into range. Just needed some more DP against Rey's sui when 9 gobbo sent on no defense. I got him without any WW. Bobbo is planning a snare hit on Squee in a few hours.

Day 23/47, hour 4

Squee ended up recasting like 5 minutes before we were set to snare. We had revs with it off and back on during that timeframe. So we decided to try again in 12. Squee has so few towers and is stealing mana from me, so we know he can't run surreal and we swarmed him to make it that much worse. Snare was successful after that cast was winding down, but Squee is doing everything he can to prevent the hit. Bobbo needs to wait a few more hours now for incoming troops and we've got to hope we have enough collective strength to keep him down.

Day 23/47, hour 17

After a few hours, Bobbo nailed him for 238a and made it home safe. Bobbo and I are now two largest doms and our realm has 5 of the top 8. Joe is converting from that 8th slot, 7k+ druids so far. Looking good, but we still have to deal with Rey Mysterio as he will likely suicide me or Joe if given the chance now that Bobbo is out of range.

Day 24/47, hour 8

Baby rhino sui'd Merf and I woke up about 20 minutes too late to get an easy retal because 7 gnome hit him out of range. Rey can hit him safely too and I'm partially sunk, so it's a bad night for realm 5. Not sure why he was willing to feed me more acres.

Day 24/47, hour 21

Rey waited several hours before hitting Rhino. Maybe he didn't realize I was partially sunk because he pretty much defended my full send by that point. Iron Man just sent so that's pretty much guaranteed acres in 12 hours. Rhino can't hit him (already sent on Poe), Rey can't defend Bobbo, and I don't think any of the converters have enough OP yet. I think 11 could easily war and sink me to prevent it, but we'll see.

Day 25/47, hour 10

He dead. RIP iron man.

Day 28/47, hour 6

We were thinking about warring 11 to snare for Bobbo, but I thought it was a bad idea because they had 3 in my range with good spies so I vetoed it. I'd rather war 12 or 7 again who look the best long term. The guys decided on 15. Few hours after we declare, 7 wars us to fireball Joe. We tried to snare Denzel and failed. Few hours after that 6 wars us and piles on Joe. He goes to about 20k peas from 43k. We look at snaring Frosty as his land comes in but he recasts before everyone could get online. Then we attempt another snare on Denzel but we take massive losses and he is able to cast again after 3 hours. Edward just came into range and I hit him as soon as I notice. My DP is good from snare plans. Bobbo can all in 12 gnome but needs to train a lot of defense. We'll see tomorrow. Rush is top 5 and loving life.

Day 29/47, hour 19

12 left his spell off and got all inned. Rey sent and Green Mountain hit one of our guys (Moe). We planned to snare him and have Bobbo all in as land came in, but he recast 3 hours early (we were snaring 2 prior). The guys did some light lightning and assassination and Bobbo just hit him with spell on anyway. Tight window because they can undeclare in 2hr.

Day 32/47, hour 6

Realm 15 had done about half damage to our wonder. We undeclared immediately. Then 7 undeclared. 6 coordinated a wave of attacks and took the wonder before undeclaring. Then Frosty made a hit sending out Frostmages. He was 74% my size so I dropped guard to hit him (all WW home). Joe made his first hit and managed to not get sui'd. We've all been building land and spies, waiting to try and catch #3 FW with a snare. I added 1mil plat worth of spies at day change.

Day 33/47, hour 10

Lots of action today. The explorers keep casting Ares early so no snares yet. Squee finally joined RG. Joe made his second hit and immediately got sui'd by rhino. I hit rhino right away and then a bunch of people followed, sending 3 into Bobbo range (hasselfroth, Rey, bloody Fog). After about 5 hours we went to snare 7 so Bobbo could all in, but he had recast. He could get 3 anyway, so we warred 13 and sunk/LB the gnomes. 3 rezoned a ton and it was looking like Bobbo wouldn't be safe from Rey's sui, then 9 gobbo land bonused into range and Bobbo just smacked him instead. Toothy and Rush are now making almost 300k plat/hr while running 100k less DP than the competition.

Day 34/47, hour 17

Well today is not going to end well. Green Mountain dropped 7500 suicide squads a few hours back and can bonus into my range. Hasselfroth is following suit and even though I was training rats throughout the night, I can't stop them from hitting me. I could release but Rush will get hit instead and I won't have any OP. Not sure there's anything we can do here. Both of their OPs went up ~45-50k in the past 24 hours, it's insanity.

Day 36/47, hour 14

So I took a huge hit from Green Mountain but managed to prevent getting doubled, phew. I lost nearly 20k peasants in a day. Pumped werewolves for a while after my drafts dropped so bad. Bobbo needed to explore a few acres to escape Rey's range and 5:4 but didn't do it until about 7 hours after I was hit. When the land came in he was able to all in Green Mountain. Hasselfroth and I both sat pumping DP for ages, then he finally hit 6 WE. These guys' OP dropped almost as dramatically as it went up. Everyone started sending and Thunder Gun left himself open to me. So I'm going to be about back to where I was before.

Day 37/47, hour 16

Merf and Joe were able to make hits. Joe's was nearly a 100% grab with a little rezone action. Merf then finished off the Wizard Academy in a single send (weakened in our first war with 7) and the boys unloaded fireballs on Hasselfroth. He's still managed to get pretty massive OP in training. We now have 4 of the top 5 in land.

Day 39/47, hour 15

Shit got crazy last night. A bunch of smaller guys started sending and Hasselfroth hit Thunder Gun, but left himself open to my suicide. We calced a bunch of different ways and decided that I should do it to soften him up for Bobbo. Green Mountain would hit me, but Joe could potentially r/r on him and soften him up too. So we both went for it. Joe ended up getting hit out of nowhere by #1 WE even though I was much larger. I got hit 4 times in total. Now both gnomes are in range with #1 WE and #2 WE (with a land bonus) coming later. #7 declared mutual but it's too late to make a difference. Bobbo is about to hit Green Mountain pretty safely and be home before mutual is active. Hopefully that seals the win.

End Round

Bobbo made the hit. Days later had an opportunity to bottomfeed Harry safely, but didn't want to leave guard. Maybe could have hit him all in with some DB shenanigans, but 6 icer sui was a major issue/gamble. Green Mountain came into range one last time for the final hit.

But wait, no that wasn't the final hit! #6 Frosty decided to improve his finish by trading a hit. So Bobbo is going to finish as OD's first 9000+ acre attacker. Toothy and Rush round out the top three, all personal bests (by a long shot). Unfortunately, Joe slept through my pings and attacking was disabled shortly before he woke up an hour or so later. He would have had his choice of 5 or so different targets and finished much higher. Many thanks to his pack for making this round possible (and so much fun).
