Round 48 Murder for a Jar of Red Rum

Here goes another roundfail. Not like anyone expected any different, right.

Randomed again this round and landed with some old faces - Zar, Faith's pack (Kale, Rush2008) and new faces - Robert's pack (Esthera, Mikey, Slater, and fellow Liverpool fan, Mulla). We're also joined by Temujin83, a returning player (last played r29) who joined later. On paper it seemed like a strong realm, but it's relatively quiet during protection. We only decided on the theme - palindromes - with practically 2 votes since only me and Slater mentioning it, and with less than 24 hours to go before round start as well. Hopefully activity will pick up after oop!

I was going with either sylvan or troll, but ultimately went with the first option as the realm seemed keen on blopping. This would be my smallest starting size so far (588) as I usually went somewhere between 600-700. Let's see how this one will play out.

The plan was to hit 3x 85%, and I think I got 83/84/88 with like 50+ op to spare so it's was a success. All of them were forest races as well.

It's probably possible to get 3 hits for the 9hr if I went for the 75% bots. However the op looked pretty close so I decided to make 2 hits on larger bots instead.

As expected, I had to sit for some time before I could hit again.

We warred #9 which was the non discord realm, so some people could farm xp and also hoping for some easy war hit for the smaller guys. They declared back. There's only 2 people in my range as of this post and I was still off by some thousands from hitting them even with war bonus, so it's kinda whatever.

Skipping some entries since there's only bot bashing.

Liz in #11 has been sitting on big op, but someone slightly smaller than me sent with like 30k dp less so I decided to yolo.

My meatshield got hit 3 hours before my troops returned, but the liz didn't seem to be interested in hitting and I made it back safely. A bit of nervous moment there, though!

Me and Esthera were considering to double #12 vamp but weren't sure about our dp. Then this human sent with significantly lower dp and we decided to hit him instead.

Day 32, Hour 8

The merfolk sent with light dp and I was just a little short from hitting him. He then got doubled which allowed me to follow. Couldn't use racial due to mana issue, unfortunately.

Day 34, Hour 14

I wanted to hit #6 human initially, but we needed to stab like 3k drafts and there were only a few people online. We tried anyways and in the end it wasn't enough at that time. We planned a 2nd stab attack a few ticks later, but in the end there's not enough people showing up, so I switched target to #3 nomad who also required some stabbing, but much more easier than the human. Its 85% hit instead of 101%, but I'll take what I can get lol. Big thanks to everyone who helped with stabbing!

Day 38, Hour 14

Realm 5 warred us earlier to take out our wonder. We mutual'd since we're planning to retake it, and somehow we noticed that this icer had 1 tick left of ares. It's too juicy of a hit to be passed (over 100%), even though I'd end up entering #11 gob's range and most likely getting whacked. Unfortunately I was a little too hyped about the hit and forgot to cast my racial since everything happened within 10 minutes before hour change lol. Round was over ages ago anyways so might as well just have fun and net gain. My realmies also thought so!

So yeh, sorry not sorry to everyone else. Looks like I'll be that guy who feed the top for once lol.

Nothing really happened last day as expected, but at least I reached my highest ever finish so far. This disable timer really sucks btw.

If you find that this roundfail is somewhat dull, it's because I kinda lost motivation after my shitty net made me bounce. I ended up being permanently behind other 2nd tier attackers, never really found an opportunity to catch up to them. It didn't help that the round was pretty much decided with still months to go due #3 gob bending over for #11 multiple times within short period.

Oh well, thanks to all my realmies for all the advices and ops, and thanks for reading.
