Round 37 - Realm #13 Win Story[edit]

Preseason[edit]

Coming off of a fresh Jcinnz (JC) win, winning was in the air. Despite public perception, as a pack we tend to slack into a lot of rounds. It is not very often we get all 5 of us on the same page with the same plan and the same goal in mind. When Yami (Yams) mentioned wanting to go Lyc, I knew it was going to be a try-hard round as a group.

Racial selection tends to consist of Yams with a few options, JC simming the entirety of the catalog, Templeman (Temp) flirting between slow or ops, Cents321 (Cents) flirting between ops or slow, and me going with something faster or a whatever strat depending on life. This round (37) was the quickest weā€™ve decided on race selection in recent memory. We usually spend more time choosing a theme than actual game planning on the regular. Frustrating, I know, but I get it because themes are important!

  • For me, Iā€™ve been mentioning playing Halfer for 5+ rounds now but something always came up. Mostly it was because FW numbers came up better in sims. I had every intention to play Halfer the previous round, but realized at the last minute that I was going to be at a wedding the day of OOP. A sim was ready and everything but I had to wait. Finally this round I chose Halfer because I was going to play them no matter what
  • Yams was choosing between Lyc and Dorf. We got really good numbers for both, but Yams ultimately decided to go Lyc to fully commit as a running mate
  • JC, our ultimate rankwhore, was feeling generous. JC was willing to sacrifice (kinda) his potential finish by going a little faster to help support the pack up front. Gob is still Gob, and the quick convert nature of the strat provided an easier time/predictability before emerging himself live into the round. I would say the chill qc suited him since he just won, but he literally missed no nights of sleep last round *shrugs*
  • Temp and Cents are the true heroes in all of this and my co-mvps. Truthfully, aside from JC, anyone from our group is willing at any point to play the ops role. Luckily for us, theyā€™re willing without batting an eye. <3

Weā€™ve always heard about the myths and legends of other packs landing with other packs to create a dream realm. A dream that we have yet to taste. Round after round we are seemingly dealt half a hand. Now I wonā€™t go as far as saying we never landed with anyone worthwhile because we absolutely have and you know who you are <3. With that said, why would this round be any different than any other? The time has come and it didnā€™t look any different. Iā€™m usually at work when realm assignments happen. I donā€™t take notice while working, but rather just go off the packieā€™s reactions. This round the reaction was ā€œ...who are these people?ā€ The realmies had either no history on their account, 1 round sort of played, or Zooj the god himself. All solo randoms. Yayā€¦ Wait, but am I wrong? Yay!!! I didnā€™t know it yet, but we have just landed with the best realm ever.

1st Quarter[edit]

The Squad[edit]

  • playt0i
  • wellan/guydoonster (joined late after placement)
  • templeman (had titles, lost them all at the end)
  • cents321 (stole tempā€™s boat title)
  • jcinnz
  • bigtyrone/ayo
  • galactic ganglia/d-train
  • dean
  • yami
  • hepizoj (zoooooooj)
  • fake accounts/spies/farms

Yams and I came out a bit smaller in hopes of garnering less attention. We tend to be quite the war magnets even if it may not seem the case since we donā€™t cry about it publicly. Some may argue our plan worked, though weā€™ll save that for a little bit. We went on and did our thing early with some bot hits to start things off. Nothing really special during the first 72 hours other than generally following the DP guide and finding the biggest/best hits. Temp and Cents were readily available for ops. From Yams and Iā€™s timezone, Cents took care of the day ops while Temp is asleep while Temp took care of the night ops as Cents went to bed. The info sandwich worked out very nicely.

Early Threats[edit]

  • We had a couple of Lycs in realm 6 paired with presumably two QC Gobs. Definitely looks a bit threatening early on. Lycs came out big with 10% GNs as well. Weā€™ve seen this before. Sure enough, same person.
  • Realm 11 had a Liz (ITD)/FW (Calvin) combo.
  • Realm 8 had a Halfer that was simply there.
  • Realm 5 also had a Liz/FW combo. The Liz (Dave) looked suicidal, but was not. The FW (Bobbo) bounced and got tagged early, so that was that.

The Lycs came out fast, no surprise with 10% GNs. Yams and I knew we needed a few hits to get rolling so our early plan was to skate by the Lycā€™s OP until we got leveled. After one of the Lycs missed the first +12 cycle, we started to wonder if it was on purpose or not. Initially, they found a fatty hit at +25 which led us to believe that maybe theyā€™re trying to get off schedule to catch us off guard. Another cycle and a half later we were convinced that they were having trouble target searching as they mostly followed our hits. At that point, we figured theyā€™d start falling behind and start a bit of fizzling out with their high mods + following our hits + a big rezone after hitting a sylvan. I wouldnā€™t say we were super confident but we felt good about where we were in comparison to others since weā€™re just about ahead in stats and similar size heading intoā€¦Doomsday.

Doomsday[edit]

Doing well in the first 3 days rarely has been the issue. As mentioned earlier, we are war magnets. I wonā€™t speak for Yams, but Iā€™ve been killed off 100% out of the last 3 Ā½ times I tried anything fast/quick. Quick being killed off as a qc Gnome right before conversion. Now I want to be super clear on the matter and I think I speak for anyone that is going fast with the hopes of winning. With the current layout of things, going fast into Doomsday (opening of war) is an absolute dice roll. If a realm(s) decides to gang bang you, thatā€™s it. Your chances of bouncing back are slim to none. Anyone saying that itā€™s not a death sentence either doesnā€™t understand or is being very disingenuous. However, with that said, Iā€™ll side that it is everyoneā€™s right to do as they please and play how they want to play.

(An aside, it is super sad to say that this past round is way better than from round 35. Realms were 15+ big. We were warred at the bell and getting blopped by 11-13 doms is a terrible terrible feeling.)

Before the bell, iirc Yams and I were close to the same size-ish with some incoming land and 20 acres behind one of the Lycs (who was biggest attacker at the time of war dec). Did we look the best? Probably a bit biased, but I do believe we did in terms of potential outlook. Being a victim of many wars before, I trained roughly to 2-300 wizards. I wish I trained less and turned some into AMs instead. Reasons why to follow later. Anyway, the goal was around 0.3 wpa. I didnā€™t think I would stop a realm from getting me, but was hoping the training itself would cast an illusion of trying on top of some luck to bounce some balls of fire. Meanwhile the Lycs had some incoming but had opted for mostly FHs. However, the incoming were hours well after the bell. Tick tock. Tick tock. Iā€™m ready to accept the gifts of flaming balls. Yams seemed to be a lot more calm and collected, despite his lack of spies and wizards training lol. Tick tock. The time is here and Iā€™m holding my breath, pressing refresh, and praying my Energy Mirror has a 5% success rate because itā€™s never felt higher than that. Boom! War was declared!

   2023-10-24 18:01:44 Only grotsky little byotches build FHs (#12) has declared WAR on Cartoon network (#6).

The pack can vouch for this, but I generally donā€™t remember my own realm number or any other dominion names until maybe the 2nd-3rd week of the round. Therefore, I had to check and double check to make sure we werenā€™t realm 6. Huzzah! Weā€™re not! *phew* Iā€™ll be the first to admit, it is the luck any fast attacking dreamer would look for. We got lucky.

Wait, thereā€™s still realm 1! Theyā€™re definitely dressed up as bloppers. Could they? Will they? I had Temp and Cents check their barrack spies and surveys the night before. No massive incoming ratios or towers to speak of at the point. Maybe? Nope. Many hours later we believe weā€™re in the clear.

Weā€™re feeling good about things as it is time to take advantage of this period to grow some more, but queue the whining and crying. This time it isnā€™t the typical crying about a runaway, it was more than that. The crying came from some adults getting their feelings hurt. 24 hours later after the war declaration, the quadruplets of realm 6 abandoned their realm and the game. Yes, they decided as a group to press the abandon button the hour they were warred.

To be honest, them abandoning doesnā€™t bother me. The option is there, and itā€™s anyoneā€™s choice for any reason. The part that is distasteful is the fact that they carried their feelings into domchat and whined about how unfair it was and who it should have been. Blopping at the bell is literally nothing new, but somehow theyā€™re too special for it to happen to. They basically gave Rush shit for how he wanted to play the game. Iā€™ll say this again, anyone can play the game however they choose. The lamest thing in this game is when someone has the biggest opinion of how someone else should be doing the dirty work for them. X should do Y because I secretly donā€™t want to invest any resources into doing so. Lame.

Last thing I want to add on the matter - I donā€™t know this as fact, but they ran as a pack of 4. It seems apparent that they were trying to game the algorithm for realm assignments. Surely, they were hoping to land with a 5 pack to do their bidding. I donā€™t know who they landed with aside from Matty, but it doesnā€™t seem like they were able to talk anyone into doing their dirty work. Yet, they still decided to go 4 HAM. 1 out of 4 doms get heavily blopped, 4 out of 4 decided to leave their realm behind.

Last last thing - this is a terrible message to send our newer players in the game. Iā€™ve talked to our realmies who just got into the game along with people outside of the realm. The consensus is thisā€¦if I was new to the game and experienced a mass abandon from supposed vets in the middle of learning - Iā€™d not only not finish the round, but the chance of me playing again would be slim to none.

Second Quarter[edit]

I like to refer to this time period as the 5:4 era.

The Liz in #11 upped some heavy GNs, and their FW is gaining steam as well. They had every sign of being future threats with sui potential. Nothing easy. Yams and I now have to find hits while defending #11ā€™s 5:4s moving forward. Luckily for us, this hurdle didnā€™t last too long.

Their FW (Jingle) and Lizzie (White Xmas) doubled up on our realmie D-Train. D-Train didnā€™t know it, I didnā€™t either, but somehow baited out the FW to leave light dp. To my surprise, it seems that they didnā€™t have a clue on what op I had or simply assumed he was safe. Weā€™re happy to take it:

   2023-10-24 23:17:39 Iā€™m Going To Jingle Your Bells (#11) invaded fellow dominion Trainyard (#13) and captured 52 land.
   2023-10-25 00:02:30 White Christmas (#11) invaded fellow dominion Trainyard (#13) and captured 53 land.
   2023-10-25 06:32:57 Victorious on the battlefield, aaaaand it's gone (#13) conquered 75 land from Iā€™m Going To Jingle Your Bells (#11).

1 down, 1 to go. Weā€™d later learn that realm 11 had been blind to my OP training.

Side note - after the FW hit, Yams and I hit 8 times in a row in the first 4 days on 12 hour cycles. Crazy. Info is overpowered.

Yams and I finally go off the 12 hour cycle. We were able to get 1 more hit in before realm #12 is able to redeclare again. Butts are clenching, and teeth are grinding. Everybody knew, right? It was going to be us because who else would it be? DomChat has been poisoned with what #12 should have done. While a bit out of context, even our almighty Fetty mentioned it:

   InternetFett
   10/25/2023 1:05 PM
   If realm 13 would have been fireballed instead, I don't think we'd be having this conversation

Everybody wants it and everybody wants to see us die. By now weā€™ve pulled an obvious 100+ acre lead over the other attackers and, cue the music, #12 gave the people what they wanted.

   2023-10-26 18:03:32 Is halfling a carb? (#12) has declared WAR on Oh naggers. Of course. (#13).

But we werenā€™t going to take it lying down. Prior to the declaration we spoke on whether or not weā€™d mutual to get the 10% bonus. Our experience said the resilience was almost pointless if they really wanted to hurt us. Plus, thereā€™s two of us. If they want to focus on one then that would be great cuz the other can escape and move on. Thatā€™s the point of having two right? *shrugs*. If they wanted to split their resources between Yams and I, weā€™d be happy to accept that as well. I trained to 500 wizards. Again, wished I went AMs. My Master Thieves (MTs) did nothing. Well not nothing, but while having a decent spa there was still simply nothing I can do to stop their massive volume of spy strength spent on me. My MTs were able to stop about 40% of their attempts. In the first hour, 259 wizards now rest in pain with innumerable peasant corpses. The remaining 7.9k peons wept.

Yams got some fireballs and was mostly experiencing some sinking. While applying some aloe, I was thinking ā€œnot too bad rightā€? JC emerges from the ashes. Our poor JC was minding his own business in the middle of converting. I donā€™t recall what his peon amount started at, but it was now similar to mine and he definitely started at a higher count.

Diaries of a sad boi[edit]

  • Warred, lost 259 wizards. Fireballed down to 7.9 peons
  • +1 8378 peon next tick, 1 fb -> 8185
  • +2 8587 1 fb -> 8405, 5 wiz
  • +3 8806
  • +5 9405 1 fb-> 9025, 5 wiz
  • +6 9601 1 fb-> 9397
  • +7 9791 2 fb -> 9375, 14 wiz
  • +12 11,406 2 fb-> 10,921
  • +13 11,395 1 fb-> 11,395
  • +14 11,626 1 fb-> 11,374, 12 wiz
  • +15 11,852 2 fb-> 11,344
  • 297 total wizards assassinated, and aside from the eventual 203 turned into AMs, I will not be training anymore wizards for the rest of the round. No matter what. Out of principle.

Iā€™m recessioning. Yams is wet. JCā€™s burnt. Times are sad but luckily stats are still relatively okay since we pulled ahead and our mutual war OP was giving #12 something else to worry about. #11 is training on full and continue to keep us honest. Any hit, Iā€™ll take it, but a mutual hit would be even better! Unrealistic dream for me, but go Yams!

   2023-10-27 18:17:08 Victorious on the battlefield, Two Days Before the Day After Tomorrow (#13) conquered 76 land from Don't build FHs. You will get pregnant, and die (#12).

Random aside - it is around this time when Yams took notice of our almighty Dean-ster. He was packing quite a punch with massive temples. We had no idea, but apparently he was scaring a lot of people. This was also when we started to grow closer as a realm.

War with #12 is now over. Lots of battle scars, but back to business as usual. JC is now finally done converting, which also means that other goblins were converted or not far behind. #11 Liz is still a bit of a pain, but heā€™s in full 5:4 mode. We made a conscious decision and decided that it would be extremely silly if JC were to defend the 5:4s, especially if Yams can retal. JC sends/baits and #11 Liz hits JC the following hour with a little under 9 minutes to spare in the hour and Yams retals within 5 minutes. Not all is lost as JC was about to back2back2back2back hits and this was the end of #11 (for now).

   10/30/2023 1:59 Victorious on the battlefield, "Now I'm in the closet, I'm in the closet too" (#13) conquered 57 land from Tiger Jackson (#0).
   10/30/2023 2:51 White Christmas (#11) invaded fellow dominion "Now I'm in the closet, I'm in the closet too" (#13) and captured 87 land.
   10/30/2023 2:56 Victorious on the battlefield, Two Days Before the Day After Tomorrow (#13) conquered 76 land from White Christmas (#11).
   10/30/2023 10:49 Victorious on the battlefield, "Now I'm in the closet, I'm in the closet too" (#13) conquered 56 land from Uther Lightbringer (#0).
   10/30/2023 19:59 Victorious on the battlefield, "Now I'm in the closet, I'm in the closet too" (#13) conquered 56 land from Warrior of Elbaf (#0).
   10/31/2023 6:44 Victorious on the battlefield, "Now I'm in the closet, I'm in the closet too" (#13) conquered 59 land from leopard (#5).

Dorf Saga[edit]

Our realm grows even tighter. Realm #8 has entered the ring and it was time to turn our eyes to the next hurdles in our way. Gobs are gobbing, while the Dorfā€™s are slowly looking really good amongst the lands.

By now we had learned that while our realm lacked name recognition we had some real fire power with, in no particular order, Temp, Cents, Ayo and Wellan leading the way. Yams and I had trained some decent spa at this point so werenā€™t totally useless in a war so we warred #8 to tackle our immediate threat. I believe we originally wrecked the halfer to prevent him from 5:4ing, while lightly touching the dorf as well. Nothing more here, except we warred again at some point to prevent the dorf from 5:4 potential. This was the end of #8.

Luckily, Gobs didnā€™t amount to much. Elephephelphelant qcā€™d an interesting hobgob. Judas was the fastest, but also least efficient amongst the traditional gobs. He paid for his speed with big GTs, and suiā€™d a sui-er to end his round for a second time. Orryhz was fbā€™d early by #12 iirc. Crepuscles lasted the longest with numbers. I was able to all-in Orryhz and Crepuscles. With a little bias, if all were untouched, I think JCā€™s gob looked the best.

Dorfs are here. Dorfs have nasty 5:4 potential. Must get rid of dorfs.

   2023-11-03 03:45:57 Victorious on the battlefield, aaaaand it's gone (#13) conquered 106 land from Laissez les bons temps rouler (#9).

I was able to all-in Fett first and Iā€™m not sure if this was the alert to all of dom, but all dorfs seemingly went heavier clerics after the fact. And why hello realm #10, while I donā€™t blame them, not a single person was in guard on day 15. An extra 2% plat for all this time? Iā€™m jealous! Also, Chunkā€™s dorf (tits and wine) looked really good. Good land type with cheaper construction early on, we decided together that it would be a good bottomfeed to slow him down.

   2023-11-06 00:46:18 Victorious on the battlefield, aaaaand it's gone (#13) conquered 92 land from I am the god of tits and wine (#10).

Third Quarter[edit]

   2023-11-03 10:54:28 Runaways are out of range of bloppers so the runners are damaged (#1) has declared WAR on Blame Canada! (#13).

It is day 13, weā€™re looking good as a realm on paper, but in reality still feeling very vulnerable. Realm #1 wars and takes out the sails from Yams and JC. No one from #1 is in my range at this point, so no danger to them. We let the war take its course while we refocus on what dangers are next. Hello, Mith.

Mithā€™s merfolk (Popsicles aka Poopsicles according to Dean) is looking very very good. We have the fire power, therefore, target acquired. Many fireballs were shared with Mith, and with every intention of keeping it going. Iā€™m still building at this point with nothing scary to offer + no mutual to threat with, who would of known this was a formula for the ultimate boldness.

   2023-11-06 20:20:45 You like putting fishsticks in your mouth? (#13) has declared WAR on The Lesser Known Gods of Mount Olympus (#4).

Dominion Gang Bang: Bigger, Longer & Uncut[edit]

   11/7/2023 8:04 Do Wolves Swim? (#10) has declared WAR on You like putting fishsticks in your mouth? (#13).
   11/7/2023 12:14 Problem 4 (#1) has declared WAR on You like putting fishsticks in your mouth? (#13).
   11/7/2023 23:03 Four for you, Glen Coco! You go, Glen Coco! (#12) has declared WAR on All things considered, I couldn't be better I must say (#13).

Death, death is everywhere. So much death. Burning flesh, capsized lumber, and crushed dreams of life improvements were in the wastelands. With no threat of mutual realms 10, 1 and 12 saw their moment.

  • toi - Fireball Damage: 85,735
  • JC - Fireball Damage: 120,345 / Boats Sunk: 1,147 / Lightning Bolt Damage: 6,670,117
  • Yams - Fireball Damage: 116,712 / Boats Sunk: 2,697 / Lightning Bolt Damage: 152,089

(insert sad noises here) We probably felt every emotion in the book. We were down and out until a very much needed reality check was given by Wellan. Wellan challenged our attitudes, and gave us a simple rally cry. Not going to lie, things still felt very bad lol, but the rally put us back in a planning mindset.

Remember #10 not joining guard? Yes please! 48 hours after the last war declaration on us, we were able to carry out probably one of the longest modern-snare campaigns in OD history. We had war bonus against four realms so we weighed all the options. #10 dorf had good landtypes, bad ratios, and just about everyone of us in his range. Yams starts mathing and gives the okay. Yams felt comfortable with a campaign up to 7 hours. Of course, we make it harder on ourselves than we had to, but because of availability we went 2 hours early. We 9 hour snared and barely made it. Iā€™m not sure if I ever mentioned this to the realmies, but luckily Ayo missed the original go on the 1st wave and had all his spy strength left! Ayo was our exploring halfer with basically 100% success rate lol. With that said, even with all his strength, we were scraping every attempt until the actual hit itself. This ends the Dorf Saga and provides me a much needed uplift.

   2023-11-09 05:22:06 Victorious on the battlefield, aaaaand it's gone (#13) conquered 147 land from I am the god of tits and wine (#10).

Fourth Quarter[edit]

By this point things are slowing down and we can all see the writing on the wall. Yams kept training to push what 5:4 he can to slow down all the people playing slow (and there were a lot). JC deconverted to help our firepower in wars. Iā€™m still in the lead by land, but definitely not by overview perception. Realm #12 always had at least 4 people in range to war, so we no longer warred until they used up their declaration first. Meanwhile Mith didnā€™t die, and in fact bounced back amazingly well.

Here we entered the final stall. Mith DBā€™d into my range so I couldnā€™t 5:4 and I decided to skip my DB to keep him in range and prevent him from sending. Here was our first major mistake of the round. While opping Asanka (American Werewolf #7) we noticed that there was a narrow window that I could maybe hit him but we needed a few things to go our way including Mith sending. We calced out what Iā€™d need to send, what Asanka could get up to, and with no other hits anywhere in sight decided to go for it. The plan was to DB out of Mithā€™s range hoping that heā€™d notice and send freely. He ended up going with 45 seconds left in the last hour we were looking to send in which didnā€™t even matter. We calcā€™d out how many drafts Asankaā€™s would have, but ultimately forgot to include them to his final DP.

Things sucked and felt bad once again. I really didnā€™t want Mith to get another set of land to strengthen his dom further, while my dom felt like it was going nowhere fast with the lack of targets. Fortunately, the next day Woodie #3 DBd into my range as Mith was building. Land, sweet sweet land. Due to the massive forest rezone cost of resources and time lost, I followed that up with another bottomfeed to push me into mid-5ks.

   2023-11-17 03:59:42 Victorious on the battlefield, aaaaand it's gone (#13) conquered 167 land from Wuud M'ilf Succupus (#3).
   2023-11-17 15:59:55 Victorious on the battlefield, aaaaand it's gone (#13) conquered 123 land from William Powell (#1).

Slowpokes[edit]

It is now day 29 and weā€™re finally starting to listen to JCā€™s alerts of which slow dom is most dangerous. There was a discussion of Ludā€™s woodie at some point, but Lud gave himself blop immunity with 8% FHs after a brief war. That leads us to the Icers - Plopatypluses #5 (Neophyte) and Santa #11 (Rury). With Icers not being bloppable with proper docks, we agreed at this point Santa #11 looks like the better dom. Rury must have heard us talking about him because he sends hours later. The time has come for a big decision. Yams has one bullet left in the chamber and it has to be worth it. We took just about the entire tick to decide. Santa was the lead slowpoke + I gave the deciding factor to tip the scales. Mith has been a steady pain for some days now, and I gave Yams the thumbs up because if Mith hits then I can hit him back. *whoops* I was wrong. Mith was not in my range. This was our second major mistake in the round. With the info at hand, Yams unloaded all his seeds on Santa. In hindsight, it was still the right decision just not the amazing one we were thinking originally.

Mithtakes[edit]

I donā€™t know if Mith necessarily had an opportunity to win, but I do think that Mith went too early on trying to threaten. If we took turns getting a set of land each, instead of his fat op pushes, we may have been a bit more even at some point. Anyhow, Iā€™m sure the pressure was there for someone to be the hero and Mith saw something of it, but I believe that was Mithtake number 1.

Mithtake number 2 was the Great Guard Debacle. Mith has just gotten a hit back into my range. We checked for stats + ares when his land arrived. Ares was off, but I didnā€™t think much of it because he still defended me without it. Not sure why I decided to revisit the matter, but we found a couple of ticks where I just had enough to make the hit. At this point, it was all hands off ops until the tick of. We want to avoid tipping him off. The hour comes, ops are taken and final calcs are made. Ares is off - BAM! We got land, we are happy. We find Mith in domchat shortly after. He was under the impression that there was revenge retal to bypass guards as we do with revenge blops after an invasion. I donā€™t blame him for thinking that, especially for newer players. I get the logic behind that. Fortunately for me, that is not a thing.

   2023-11-21 06:10:18 Victorious on the battlefield, aaaaand it's gone (#13) conquered 236 land from Popsicles, God of Brain Freeze šŸ§Š (#4).

Finally there were no attackers in range. I was able to follow up with arguably my favorite hit of the round on the Halfer in #12 the next day.

   2023-11-22 08:33:59 Victorious on the battlefield, aaaaand it's gone (#13) conquered 229 land from WE SHOULD TOTALLY JUST STAB DRAFTEES! (#12).

Mithā€™s final mistake comes as a simple one. He grew back into range. My guess is that his all-in dp was close to the explorerā€™s in range at the time of his hit. Mith also hit big enough where hitting him was iffy because he still may be in range. Calcs were: his land size after getting hit + his own db vs my size + my own db. Results had him 10 acres out of range, but I also needed to db immediately after the send. The hour came and we had one last check to do: his land spy. While unlikely because exploring in EG is so expensive, weā€™re not leaving any stones unturned. Success, and it is smooth sailing from here (sorta).

   2023-11-25 02:08:39 Victorious on the battlefield, aaaaand it's gone (#13) conquered 261 land from Popsicles, God of Brain Freeze šŸ§Š (#4).

Final Days[edit]

It took a while, but I can finally breathe from threats and finally feel like a runaway. I made my final hits on day 37. DavetheGoliath (Gingers I hate #10), I am so sorry. DtG was just outside of my 75% range, he was roughly 74%-ish iirc. I went on to bottomfeeding him 3 times in a row and it was mostly because he didnā€™t train much dp in between while exploring more land. The plan was always for 2, but Yams talked/threatened me into the 3rd. DtG, thank you for the acres because that + remaining DBs in the round proved to be enough.

I sat for the remaining 9 days in the round. I had a bajillion acres to build without discounts. We had Factory of Legends, but I simply couldnā€™t get around the lumber issue. We decided that Iā€™ll just build max temples and GTs. I decided on my own that Iā€™ll try one last push to hit Asanka. I tried to plan around his sleeping schedule and was praying that he would just oversleep one night. At one go, I had about 10k+ slingers incoming, but Asanka saw through it and spoiled the plans. GJ.

We had projected that around 8 to 8.2k would probably seal the deal and thankfully last few days were no more than therapy sessions from the realm. Realmies were bored because we had some peaceful days, so all they can do is reassure me that things are okay. Yams calcā€™d and kept me informed on how many hours were left and how many hits would be needed. JC unequivocally gave me the 100% prediction of the win. The others mainly ignored me. Fin.

Post-Game Interview[edit]

I want to take this last opportunity to give my thanks. Thank you to anyone making it this far into this long winded story. Thank you to everyone that provided a bump in the road in this round. It is easy for me to say now because of the results, but every bump made the journey that much more worth it. Big shout out to Mithrandir for being the final boss. Your dom kicked ass.

Thanx to my Wifey for letting me play this stupid game.

Thanks to Realm #13. This win is not possible without each and every one of you. Congrats to Wellan for placing 2nd place! Bigtyrone/Ayo, you were my go to! Lots of late nights in matters I wonā€™t share. D-Train/Dean, thanks for talking the most in our server! It seems that we were always half a step from unleashing your involvement in wars lol. Weā€™ll usurp Fetty one day, but until then weā€™ll always have young Angelina. Zooj, zooooooooj! I know it wasnā€™t easy being in our realm, and I appreciate every ounce of your efforts and moral support.

Lastly, double thanks to the packies. Temp, love your Wale ass. Cents, love your sleepy ass. This story is not told without the time and energy on your behalves. JC, as much as we poke at you, love your kiwi ass. Your insight and constant badgering on the things that matter is more important than weā€™ll ever admit to. Yams, love your JUIcy ass. You know youā€™re our rock and hold us all together. Triple thanks for doing the hard parts that we all suck at. <3
