Captain's Analysis: DanTheMan

  • Erix – Came down to BigChris/Erix/Ivetza. We wanted another attacker and someone we knew would be super active. I had communicated with Erix and a week or so before the 2nd round started letting him know that if he was there I was going to take him. However, Grapes vetoed our pick, using the first veto to the point. I felt it was unfair as there were several pick made overnight that I had no opportunity to veto. I made a point that we never established the veto rules and that we hastily jumped into the 2nd round of the draft without talking about it. We eventually put it to a vote, and despite Erix’s best efforts to join Rio’s team (collusion), the vetoes were “vetoed” by a majority vote. Erix became even more valuable as we were able to communicate with him about the rest of the draft as basically another co-captain. Erix created our realm channel before we drafted our next player, THANKS ERIX!
  • Rush – This pick came down to Jboy or Rush. We ultimately went with Rush because he’s one of the best blops guys that also understand and play the game really well. We were also pretty confident in ourselves as attackers and are at this point looking for the ops support. Rush is also in Gothia’s timezone and will be super helpful for Gothia in those super early morning hours when Erix and I are trying to get our beauty sleep. This is also a case where I’d rather have him on my team, than on someone else’s wreaking havoc on my dom.
  • Asanka – All captains agreed this pick was a no-brainer. Way too much value to let him slide any further. Asanka will likely be able to explore and help the team keep eyes on what’s going on while staying super competitive.
  • Zar – There were many good picks here to choose from and this one came down the Erix high praise of Zar. Zar looks like a very versatile player and is very active in discord. We will work with Zar to determine his gameplan this round, but again the versatility was a ++.
  • Sizzler – This was my sleeper pick! I played a few rounds with Sizzler before he took a break from the game. Looking forward to employing his attacking skills this round and hoping he knocked the rust off playing in round 38. I was certain CE/Wurst were hoping Sizzler would drop to them after this pick so I was sure to talk some trash.
  • Scrornch/Scratch – This was another Erix insight pick. Erix knows this player well and Scratch will likely attack and be active in discord.
  • ForPony! – Another Erix suggestion, positive reviews and he looks to be interested in blopping.
  • Bombtek87 – This pick basically came down to the fact they said they would be active in discord. We are looking forward to meeting Bombtek!
