All the cool kids are writing round fail stories these days so I guess I'll honour Rush and the rest of the realm and shine some light on my round since it was a big fail!

The Pack & the Plan

Everyone knows I've got a running blood feud with Rush since he blopped me for no other reason than his own amusement; that's not how gods should behave so I stopped being a preacher of Rushism too! Good thing too since Zooj is the real deal! Last round however I landed with Rush and I wanted to hate him but he was actually quite ok, just don't tell him that otherwise he might get the wrong idea! We even did some tactical blops together, every time I did so I felt some disturbance in the force and in the back of my head I heard a Scottish voice yelling "GIVE IN TO YOUR HATE".

Rio also made it to my blood feud list after bottomfeeding me in round 34, just because he want to have the "world record" or so he said. Well it certainly was a world record in the category of douchery! You could be cool a cool and classy winner like JC this round, no need to BF if you already have it in the bag (unless you want to put a douche in the bag).

So then the moment came when I got a message a vague message from Rio saying he was putting the greatest team ever. I thought he was forming a swimming team or a band of people being great in making aninmal sounds (my specialty is the cow) but it turned out he was forming a pack. The idea was some decent explorers who can blop a bit to police the round. That made me think about what I wanted to do since it Dom became kinda of a snoozefest for me where I still logged in too many times a day and didn't sleep as much as I would like so I was open to something new and join another pack for a round to spice things up. Back at home I can't get my wife to agree on those kind of things but Slicer and Sommar (my regular packies) reluctantly agreed, guess they are the true love pack since if you love someone you have to let them go... So I joined the pack and found out Rush and Unfather were already there and I was like the 1337th being asked so I immediately felt less special. We then recruited AgFx and the pack was full. We only needed a theme and after some debate we decided on vague descriptions of witches.

Then we needed decide on races, most obvious exploring races suitable for our plans were Gob, Lyc, Halfer, Nox, Sylvan, We, Icekin, Human and Merf.

• AgFx went with Nox and followed the way of the Rush
• Unfather went with Gob so he could a fast explorer
• Rush went with Icekin to do something different for a change (and let AgFx be Nox), you can read about it in his roundfail story.
• Rio went with slow attacking WE, just read his story.
• I was inclined to go human again and do what I did last round but then with some more towers and blop around but I also thought about doing a semi quick deconvert. So attack, rake in some prestige, experience, research points and profit from that. So I decided to give that a try and FW seemed to be the best choice for it. I made a sim and it was rubbish but with the help of t0i I got something decent and decided to go ahead with it.

The Failure

So I did a delayed attack (not gonna wake up at 02.00 to attack, what am I an addict?) and started hitting 19 hours after OOP. I kept on hitting till I could without training spec OP or building GN or temples and made only 10 75% hits, my last one 9 days after OOP. I probably held on too long and wanted to BF after that but with #6 & #13 FW's pushing so hard I was only able to make 1 BF so big failure. Then the transition to explorer started with taking the Wayfarers Outpost. My economy was down the drain so I could explore like 4 to 5 acres per hour which was like half I could do when normally explore. Things weren't looking good but I had hope I could pick up some speed since I didn't need any defence for a while since my salamanders gave some nice turtle. In reality however I never really caught up and was only able to explore about 7 acres per hour, even with all the explorers techs and wayfarers outpost. I did manage to get to 6k+ acres but I feel I probably would have done better with a conventional explorer.

So besides me failing we warred around, did some stuff and in the end JC won so congratz to him!

Random notes

• At some point Wurst could hit me if I didn't release/invest so I put SP up and had a battle with them by releasing and investing. In the end he went for someone else but he could've gone for me if he would've gone all out before I could release/invest. The hour before he made his hit he was able to hit me and #12 was heavily checking me so I was investing and releasing, dunno if that was their goal or they actually wanted to hit but were afraid of a bounce.
• I'm always lurking and watching at people in the realm so I caught quite some people in our realm without spells...
• If people don't communicate in Discord try to reach out in council, sometimes it works! It's not ideal but for us it helped to communicate with some people.
• Be a responsible blopper don't just do random blops for ranks.
• There can only be one Zooj so don't go Zoojing!
• So the most important question you probably have: what about the blood feud?!? We'll see about that...
