Round 46 Joint Dillinger

New placement system, same old shit.

I randomed this round and landed with Scratch's pack (Damdred, Noodle, HighLow, Shining). Other randomers were Bazz, Zar, Beta52, and Jesterawx who joined a bit later, plus two inactive people who eventually got booted to the graveyard. It didn't look like a realm who could compete, but at least they seemed active enough, although as usual, timezone would remain an issue. I choose to play dark elf partly to be more self sustaining with ops.

Our theme was a mix of weed terms and famous criminals. It was quite fun to come up with the names, but hopefully we wouldn't end up on someone's list because we're looking into all these serial killers and what not lol.

Day 1, Hour 1

I thought I'd have enough op to hit 3 times oop, but it seemed I missed the easier targets because the start time was like 7 am my time, so I opted for 2 bigger hits instead. Not great, but not terrible I guess.

Well, this one was a little funny (as well as a embarrassing) since I was capped by boats on full spec op send. I thought about waiting for the next tick before realizing I can just send less swordies and use more spellblades instead. Crisis averted!

We decided to get a wonder with the better probability to keep for the whole round. After considering the options, everyone agreed on Underground Society. After all the cyclones, we were planning to hit it between Shining, HighLow and me, but it turned out Shining's spec op (which was the least amount among us three) was enough to nab it.

For a moment, I forgot my realm number and thought it was sniped, though lol

The gobo Big Black in #9 (one of the triplets) was keeping people home, but I decided to yolo as there's another dom which was 4a bigger than me and had like 4k less dp. However, #3 FW decided to send on the same hour, and I could only hope the gobo would be smart with his target choice...

Update: gobo hit a gnome that's slightly smaller. Worse land type is your best defense!

Big Black #9 decided to hit #3 FW (who bf'd earlier) and fed the spirit in return. Personally it felt dumb. The more annoying part was the hits happened quite late that I've missed a player hit on #12 dwarf and had to settle for a bot. Collusion? Collusion!

So...

With about 5 hours left until my troops were back, I decided to sleep 1 hour earlier (3 am my time instead 4) since I was saving plat to build the land anyways. And then the next tick, Damdred, who's been bending over for #3 throughout the round, dropped his ares, allowing the spirit to hit him. This was his 6th hit by #3, after feeding the kobo 4 times (although one was a bf), and the gnome once. Because the spirit sent, the orc was able to nab me.

Everyone just colluded against me. I'd even go as far as blaming realm 7 as well for making the gnome delaying his hit, only to feed the kobo a war hit themselves. I might have been able to hit safely if everyone was out yesterday. In short, it's a fucking COLLUSION!

Fuck this game.

The orc in #8 made his sui. I've been training op to try hitting him when he did, but of course timing and everything colluded against me AGAIN. Missed him on the hit hour because he hit in the morning my time, then as I wanted to hit him eot the tick after, my internet fucking lagged and I ended up getting a smaller gain due to #12 nomad. This round is just full of, you guess it, fucking collusion!

I'll probably get railed for it but at this point, who cares?!

I ended up taking two hits while the nomad, who had similar dp and was slightly bigger got away unscathed. Collu-fucking-sion.

Day 44, Hour 16

The guy sent, got doubled, sui'd a small guy, and got gangbang'd. Of course, my net decided to fucking act up again and I was late in getting the piece. How many times I should say collusion this round...?

Day 47, Hour 13

Disable happened late so I was able to get one last yolo. Fell just a little short of 5k because you know... collusion.

And so... another fail in the bag thanks to collusion everywhere. It's honestly a little disheartening as I didn't do much wrong up to the point of the hit by #8 orc. Fuck him, and fuck his DE buddy too for hitting me instead #12 nomad. It's been a hella boring round and was kinda checked out at last day that I screwed up on rounding my land and nw a little.

Anyways, I still thank (most) of my realmies for their ops support. One day I shall rise above the collusion, or not.
