== Description ==&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
OpenDominion is a free online text-based strategy game in a medieval fantasy setting.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
It is a free and open source remake of [[Dominion|Dominion Classic]] by [[Kamikaze Games]] (Ross Wigdor), which ran from 2000 until 2012.&lt;br /&gt;

== Gameplay ==&lt;br /&gt;

OpenDominion is divided into [[round]] which last 50 days each. Players may join at any time during these 50 days, but it is most common to sign up during what is called [[registration]]. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Once signed up and verified (email verification is required), the player can register for an open round. Once registered, the player is given a [[dominion]] (which can be likened to a kingdom) which in turn is placed inside a [[realm]]. All dominions start at the size of 250 acres and with a minute army. When registering, the player is asked to pick a dominion name and [[race|races]].&lt;br /&gt;

During the first three days (72 hours) of the round or later if you join after the round has started, your [[dominion]] is under [[protection]]. &lt;br /&gt;

During the final day of the round (day 50),all offensive actions (including attacking and exploring) can be disabled anytime at which point you are only able to train troops for the rest of the day.&lt;br /&gt;

Round 20 began on September 10th and ended on October 30th. Wonders were introduced for the first time to OpenDominion with Round 20.&lt;br /&gt;
== Round Win Story ==&lt;br /&gt;

First of all, I would like to say I could not have done this without the help from awesome pack and amazing randoms. So to Merf, Sarmis, Nate, Hammy, Faith and Vovin, thank you so much for all the help, the good times, and thousands of hours of strat talk.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
A week or so before the test round started we put together myself, Merf, Sarmis and Nate. We had a couple options for the 5th, we decided to go with Hamstah. Team was locked in and now we needed races. Sarmis had some pretty great sims to choose from. We saw the changes to liz and lyc so we knew we wanted a quick convert kobold and goblin. I love playing the do or die kobold which usually only lasts 14-21 days, Nate wanted goblin. Merf was pretty stuck on an unconventional Troll and had ideals of 4 hits OOP. Sarmis decided to go converting human/ opz bitch. Ham ended up with fast SPUD. After nates incredible sim tweaking we were ready for OOP. Merf was the only one attacking OOP so he had a pretty good amount of support finding hits OOP, and by w7 found the 4th after some more brutes came in. We couldn’t ask for a better OOP. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
2nd wave Hamstah gets his OP in and joins the party. I think Merf is top OP at this point (30hrs OOP). It looked like the main competition was Out-of-Beta is (bug) and Wandering Warriors. This is when we first found gems gems and more gems.&lt;br /&gt;
